About Chris

Canvassing has been one of the greatest adventures of my life.

I started where so many successful canvass leaders should —knocking doors. As a canvasser for Renewal by Andersen on Long Island, I learned firsthand what it takes to earn a homeowner's attention, handle rejection, stay motivated, and consistently generate quality appointments. My results led to a promotion as a Van Manager, where I coached and motivated a team of ten canvassers.

Later, I was promoted to Canvassing Director, and over the next several years I built our department from one van into a thriving organization with as many as 60 canvassers and five managers working under me. I also ran two separate locations as I had a team on Long Island, and one in Brooklyn. Those experiences taught me that great canvassing isn't about luck—it's about leadership, accountability, coaching, systems, and culture.

Before my career in home improvement, I spent years as a professional stand-up comedian, performing at legendary comedy clubs including Dangerfield's in Manhattan and The Riviera in Palm Springs. I also appeared on The Howard Stern Show in the early 2000s and later spent a day filming with Steven Spielberg for his film Disclosure Day. Comedy taught me something I still use every day: people learn best when they're engaged and having fun. That philosophy has become the foundation of my training. Canvassing is hard work, but training doesn't have to be boring. I believe teams improve the fastest when they laugh, participate, role-play, and leave each session energized to knock the next door.

In 2019, I joined Tony Hoty Training & Consulting (www.tonyhoty.com), where I've had the privilege of traveling throughout the United States and Canada, working alongside canvass teams in the field. I've trained new canvassers, coached experienced leaders, helped improve management systems, and shared proven strategies with companies of all sizes. I am very proud to work with Tony Hoty who is a GIANT in the lead generation world.Today, my mission is simple: help home improvement companies build stronger canvassing departments that generate more qualified demos, develop better leaders, and create winning cultures.Whether I'm coaching one manager over Zoom or spending several days working alongside an entire canvassing team in the field, my goal is always the same—to help people become more confident, more successful, and enjoy the process along the way.

Because when your people improve, your numbers improve.
